Shawn Loring is a founding partner in the legal firm McClendon and Loring, PLLC, and the Chief Executive Officer of Generations Financial Services, LLC. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science in International Economics, with an emphasis on Asia, from the University of California Los Angeles. He speaks Mandarin Chinese and Spanish, in addition to English. Shawn began his career in the financial services industry in 1994, interning as a bond analyst at SunAmerica—the company had the best performing stock on the New York Stock Exchange between 1900 and 1998. While at SunAmerica, he also served as an account manager dealing with some of the largest banks in the world. After AIG bought SunAmerica, Shawn moved on and founded Generations Financial Services, a full-service financial planning LLC, where he currently serves as CEO. While running Generations, Shawn received his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School, located in California, where he was on the Dean’s List. In 2009 and 2010, he was awarded the CALI and Witkins award for garnering the highest grades in Estate and Gift Taxation and Estate Planning. Shawn is a practicing attorney in California and Texas and founded McClendon and Loring, PLLC, a law firm, in 2012. He also is the host of “The Financial Fix,” a radio show that provides free financial and legal advice, on KDOL 96.1 FM.
